The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards will take place on November 19, with submissions for the 'Chungjungwon Short Film Award' opening on September 30.
Scheduled to be held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, the Blue Dragon Film Awards have been a cornerstone of the South Korean film industry since their inception in 1963. This year, the event promises another night of celebration, bringing together the stars of Korean cinema and film enthusiasts.
The Blue Dragon Film Awards have consistently discovered emerging directors with fresh ideas and potential through the 'Chungjungwon Short Film Award.' This year, they are once again seeking short films that showcase originality and creativity. Eligible participants include South Korean nationals and foreigners residing in Korea, including international students. The films must be completed after October 14, 2024, and should not exceed 40 minutes in length.
Submissions will be accepted online from September 30 to midnight on October 12, 2025. After preliminary screenings, the selected finalists will undergo a rigorous evaluation by a panel of film experts to determine the winners. The final award recipients will be announced at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony on November 19.
