Xdinary Heroes, the rising band from South Korea, was invited as a guest performer for the renowned British band Muse's concert in Seoul. This invitation came directly from Muse, highlighting Xdinary Heroes' growing presence on both domestic and international stages.
The band, consisting of members Gunil, Jungsu, Gaon, O.de, Jun Han, and Jooyeon, opened for Muse at their concert held on the 28th at the Incheon Munhak Stadium. This marked Muse's first concert in South Korea in a decade. Xdinary Heroes strategically prepared their setlist, kicking off with three intense tracks to energize the audience.
They also performed rearranged versions of their songs, featuring drum and guitar solos that captivated the crowd. Following the drum solo, the band engaged with approximately 30,000 attendees, creating an electrifying atmosphere.
Just days earlier, on the 26th, Xdinary Heroes performed at the 'Busan International Rock Festival,' South Korea's longest-running rock festival. This festival, alongside the 'Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival,' is a major event in the country's rock music scene, and performing there is a testament to the band's musical potential and stage presence.
In July, they graced the stage at the world-renowned 'Lollapalooza Chicago,' closing 'The Grove' stage with a powerful performance. Their rock-infused vocals, featuring growling and shouting, captured the attention of the local audience. Over the course of an hour, they showcased a wide musical spectrum with 16 diverse tracks.
Xdinary Heroes have rapidly expanded their solo concert scale. After performing at the Yes24 Live Hall last year, they moved to the Olympic Hall in November. By May of this year, they held four consecutive sold-out shows at the Olympic Hall. In July, they performed at the Handball Stadium, increasing their audience capacity. This rapid growth in their fanbase is evident. Last month, they concluded their 'Beautiful Mind' world tour, performing 18 concerts across 14 global locations, further expanding their international reach.
As JYP's second band, following in the footsteps of DAY6, Xdinary Heroes are solidifying their position in the band scene. With performances at prestigious international festivals and opening for globally popular bands, they are quickly establishing a strong foothold. With a comeback scheduled for next month, music fans are eagerly watching their next moves.
