K-Pop Icon Kim Gun-mo Returns to Stage After Six-Year Hiatus with Nationwide Tour

K-Pop legend Kim Gun-mo has made a triumphant return to the stage after a six-year hiatus, kicking off his nationwide tour.

On September 27, Kim Gun-mo successfully completed the first concert of his tour at the KBS Hall in Busan. This performance marks his first return to the stage since he paused his career in 2019 due to sexual assault allegations, from which he was cleared in 2021.

Known for his numerous hits like 'Excuse' and 'Wrongful Meeting,' which defined the 1990s Korean music scene, Kim Gun-mo opened the concert with a narration reflecting on his long absence, asking, "Was it a blank space, or was it deep darkness?" On stage, he shared updates on his life, mentioning, "I got married and divorced during this time," and expressed his determination to complete the tour, stating, "This time, I will put a period, not a comma."

During the concert, Kim Gun-mo performed a total of 27 songs, including fan favorites like 'Seoul's Moon,' 'Sleepless Rainy Night,' 'Excuse,' and 'Speed.' The venue was filled with enthusiastic fans, and the energy continued with an encore and an additional encore. He concluded the performance with a deep bow to the audience, expressing his heartfelt gratitude.

Kim Gun-mo's tour will continue in Daegu in October, followed by performances in Suwon in November, Daejeon and Incheon in December, and will conclude in Seoul early next year.
