Singer Hwang Garam offered a message of comfort with his performance of 'I Am a Firefly.'
On the 27th, the 'Asia Top Artist Festival 2025' (ATA Festival) took place at Hangang Nanji Park in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The headliner for the event was singer and musical actor Kim Junsu, with Jannabi and Peppertones as sub-headliners. Other performers included Lee Mujin, 10CM, Park Hye-won, Kyungseo, H1-KEY, Say My Name, and Hwang Garam.
Hwang Garam opened his set with 'To You, Far Away in Memory,' drawing enthusiastic responses from the audience. He expressed his feelings by saying, "It's a new experience to sing at Hangang, where I used to come just for fun." He continued with performances of 'Between Love and Friendship' and 'Love, That Guy,' captivating the crowd with his soulful voice. Between songs, he joked, "Aren't I a ballad singer? Next time, I want to try performing like a rock band," further energizing the atmosphere.
Continuing with 'Crazy Longing,' Hwang Garam maintained his passionate performance, frequently sipping water throughout. He shared, "These days, I want to offer comfort and strength. I hope my music can heal wounds," before delivering an emotional rendition of his new song 'Healing.'
Concluding his performance, Hwang Garam declared, "You are shining stars," and passionately sang his hit song 'I Am a Firefly,' which has become a sleeper hit.
Released in October last year, 'I Am a Firefly' is a remake of a song originally released by Jung Sig-i Band in April 2020. Since its release, it has steadily climbed the charts on the music platform Melon's 'Top 100.' In January, it reached the fourth position, following artists like G-Dragon, Rosé, and aespa.
The 'ATA Festival' is an event that offers a diverse lineup of artists, appealing to audiences of all ages. On the second day, the headliner will be Kim Jaejoong, with performances by The Boyz, Tours, Cravity, Ha Sung-woon, Fifty Fifty, 82Major, QWER, Eunice, Bad Villain, and New Beat.
