Lee Joo-young captivates audiences with her nuanced emotional depth and powerful energy in the early episodes of the drama 'Danjwe'.

The first two episodes of the Dramamax and Wavve original drama 'Danjwe', released on the 24th and 25th, depict Ha So-min (played by Lee Joo-young) as she desperately seeks the truth behind her mother's sudden death.

Ha So-min, an unknown theater actress, maintains her passion for the stage despite challenging circumstances. However, her life is shattered when her mother is involved in a hit-and-run accident with a car belonging to Ma Seok-gu (played by Ji Seung-hyun), the leader of the drug syndicate 'Ilseongpa'. As So-min searches for her missing mother, she is devastated to find her lifeless body. She then discovers that her mother's voice, presumed dead, has been manipulated using deepfake technology for voice phishing. Determined to uncover the truth, So-min takes it upon herself to track down the criminal organization. With the help of her police academy friend and detective Park Jung-hoon (played by Koo Jun-hoe), she attempts to infiltrate Ilseongpa using deepfake technology.

Lee Joo-young's acting prowess shines throughout this process. She masterfully navigates a wide range of emotions, from sorrow and anger to despair and determination, enhancing the drama's immersive experience. Her heart-wrenching cry upon facing her mother's death and her relentless pursuit of the criminal organization are portrayed with intense action and unwavering resolve, convincingly completing the character's narrative.
