Renowned singer Lee Sun-hee has surprised fans by taking on a new challenge as a DJ.
Recently, at the globally acclaimed electronic music festival 'Ultra Korea 2025' held at the Mapo Oil Tank Culture Park in Seoul, Lee Sun-hee made her debut as 'DJ HEE'. Celebrating her 41st year in the music industry, Lee, known for her numerous hit songs, showcased her DJing skills for the first time, earning enthusiastic cheers from the audience.
Lee Sun-hee has been interested in DJing for several years and has been practicing diligently. Her performance at Ultra Korea was a testament to her preparation. Videos from the event show her focused on mixing, sporting a bob haircut, glasses, and headphones, much to the amazement of her fans. Her unwavering charisma and passion made her new venture shine even brighter.
The official Ultra Korea account highlighted her performance with the message, "Legendary singer-songwriter Lee Sun-hee debuts as a DJ at Ultra! No matter your age, if you take on a new challenge, that moment is your prime."
Born in 1964, Lee Sun-hee, now 61, debuted in the music scene after winning the grand prize at the 1984 MBC Riverside Song Festival. She has since become known as the 'National Diva' with hits like 'To J', 'Meet Him Among Them', 'Fate', 'I Always Miss You', 'Ah! The Good Old Days', and 'With a Burst of Laughter'.
However, from 2011 to June 2022, she faced allegations of causing financial damage to her company by using One Entertainment's corporate card for personal expenses. She received a summary order for breach of trust from the prosecution and apologized to her fans.
