On the afternoon of the 20th, JYP announced, "Ahead of the expiration of their exclusive contract early next year, all ITZY members—Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna—have renewed their contracts with us. Notably, ITZY surprised fans by announcing the contract renewal during their fourth official fan meeting, 'ITZY The 4th Fan Meeting ITZY MIDZY, Let's Fly! "ON AIR"', held at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul, on the 20th. The members expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from their fandom, MIDZY, and promised to journey towards a brighter future together.
Debuting in February 2019, ITZY swept numerous rookie awards and has consistently showcased growing performance skills, earning the title of 'K-pop Performance Queens.' Their mini album 'GUESS WHO' entered the US Billboard 200 chart, and 'CHECKMATE' reached 8th place on the same chart. In 2024, they completed their second world tour, 'ITZY 2ND WORLD TOUR ', with 32 performances across 28 regions, solidifying their reputation as a 'must-see live group.'
ITZY will hold a solo fan meeting in Tokyo, Japan, from October 11th to 13th, meeting more global fans.
