Actress Lee Young-ae recently opened up about the similarities she shares with her 15-year-old daughter.
On the October 18th broadcast of SBS PowerFM's 'Cultwo Show', Lee Young-ae made a guest appearance and shared some delightful anecdotes.
During the show, Lee Young-ae reminisced about a time when she and her husband attended a small theater performance by Kim Tae-kyun. "My husband insisted we go, and it turned out to be a lot of fun," she shared, highlighting the simple joys of their dating days.
When asked if there are moments when she feels, "That's my daughter," Lee Young-ae expressed, "Our tastes in music and food are so similar. We enjoy the same music and food, and it's in those moments I think, 'She really is my daughter,'" she said with a smile.
Previously, Lee Young-ae revealed on Shin Dong-yup's channel 'Jjanhyung' that her daughter, a middle school sophomore, dreams of becoming an idol. "I don't discourage her from pursuing her dream. I don't want her to say later, 'I couldn't do it because of mom,'" she confessed. Known as a fan of BTS, she also mentioned attending concerts of TXT and BoA with her daughter.
However, Lee Young-ae expressed some concerns from a mother's perspective, saying, "I think my daughter sees the entertainment industry as too easy. She only sees the glamorous side and not the hard work behind it."
Meanwhile, Lee Young-ae married Korean-American businessman Jeong Ho-young in 2009, who is 20 years her senior. The couple has twin children. Jeong is known as a billionaire and was the chairman of Raycom Korea.
