Korean hip-hop group Epik High delighted fans with a special 'Latte Talk' video ahead of the festive season, where member Tablo showcased his affectionate side by recommending a surprising investment.
On September 18, Epik High (Tablo, Mithra, and Tukutz) released a video titled 'Gather Around If You've Lost Money During the Holidays ft. Life Dumplings' on their official YouTube channel.
In the video, the group shared, “We are currently in Daegu and have gathered 50 reports from acquaintances to find a good restaurant,” as they visited a dumpling shop. Tukutz humorously remarked, “The owner is worried about becoming famous. I think they overestimate us,” to which Tablo jokingly replied, “We’re barely famous ourselves,” as they entered the shop.
Bonding over shared experiences of having their holiday money taken by parents, Epik High humorously discussed ways to hide money but also lamented the lack of financial education for children, which deprived them of learning the value and management of money. Tukutz shared a story about running a 'Dad Bank' to teach his kids about compound interest, only to go bankrupt because he couldn’t keep up with the interest. The group agreed that there are few opportunities to learn practical life skills like money management and dealing with banks and government offices.
When the fried dumplings arrived, Epik High reacted with enthusiasm, as if they had discovered the dumplings of their lives. The vegetable dumplings, styled like spicy braised monkfish, captivated their taste buds with a sweet and sour flavor. They praised the dish, saying, “You might think, ‘How good can dumplings be?’ but I didn’t expect them to be this delicious,” and “It’s a taste you’ll crave next week.” The dessert, a red bean shaved ice, left a lasting impression, reminding them of their childhood.
Epik High continues to engage with fans through a variety of content on their YouTube channel every week.
