MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'To the Moon' tells the hyper-realistic survival story of three women who, unable to make ends meet with their salaries alone, dive into cryptocurrency investment. The series promises to deliver a relatable and comforting tale of friendship, dreams, and humor as these women seek one last shot to change their lives.
In the drama, Rami Ran plays Kang Eun-sang, who teams up with Lee Sun-bin (as Jung Da-hae) and Jo Ah-ram (as Kim Ji-song) to form the self-proclaimed 'Munanis'. Eun-sang appears calm on the outside but is constantly scheming to make money. She can't ignore Da-hae and Ji-song, who are in similar situations, and invites them to join her on the 'coin train'.
Rami Ran explained her decision to join 'To the Moon', saying, "The journey of the Munanis in finding the true meaning of life was both delightful and poignant, which intrigued me. The narrative of the three women was portrayed so endearingly."
Regarding her character Eun-sang, Rami Ran stated, "She is one of the most unique and complex characters I've played. On the surface, she seems solely focused on money, but she's also pitiable, clumsy, and kind-hearted. She's not easy to define in a single word." She added, "The most important aspect of my performance was not to pigeonhole her. I gradually came to understand Eun-sang as we filmed."
On Eun-sang's relationship with Da-hae and Ji-song, Rami Ran expressed, "They feel like friends, enemies, and even children to me. Although they're younger, they sometimes take care of me like older sisters. How could I not adore them?"
'To the Moon' is set to premiere on October 19 at 9:50 PM.
