SEVENTEEN's producer and vocal team leader, Woozi, has officially begun his mandatory military service.
Pledis Entertainment announced on the 15th that Woozi entered the army training center on this day to receive basic military training before continuing his service as an active-duty soldier.
On the day before his enlistment, Woozi did not perform on stage during the 'SEVENTEEN World Tour NEW_' concert held at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on the 14th. Instead, he spent his last moments before enlistment watching from the audience, alongside fellow members and the fandom, Carat. Observing the performance from the audience was a unique experience for him.
After the concert, Woozi communicated with fans through a fan interaction platform, saying, "It was my first time watching the members and Carats smile to the music I created from the audience. That moment brought me joy. I gained a lot of strength from it. I will return healthy. Thank you."
Woozi is the third member of SEVENTEEN to begin military service. Jeonghan started his alternative service in September last year, and Wonwoo began his alternative service in April this year. Following Woozi, Hoshi is set to enlist as an active-duty soldier on the 16th.
