Sean's Inspiring 81.5km Marathon Journey on 'The Manager'

On the recent episode of MBC's variety show 'The Manager', singer Sean delivered an inspiring performance by dedicating himself to an 81.5km marathon.

Despite revealing that he had been on an IV drip due to illness just two days prior, Sean persevered through the marathon with the support of 45 pacers, including actor Im Si-wan, Jin Sun-kyu, former national soccer player Lee Young-pyo, and his daughter Ha-eum.

Sean shared, "I usually run 400 to 500km a month. In January, I ran 700km." When asked by Yoo Byung-jae if he had installed the 'Cashwalk' app, Sean replied, "I recently did." Lee Young-ja humorously commented, "That's all money. If you had done it earlier, you could have earned billions."

To prepare for the 81.5km run, Sean mentioned, "I prepare five sets of clothes and three pairs of shoes." He placed his daughter Ha-eum as the fourth pacer, explaining, "I need energy at that point."

As the participants watched Sean's weight loss in real-time during the run, they expressed concern, saying, "He suddenly looks older," and "It seems like ten years have passed in just a few minutes."

After taking his first break at 4 hours and 30 minutes, Song Eun-i remarked, "Even cars are advised to rest after two hours of driving." Despite injuries to his left heel and Achilles tendon, Sean shared, "I felt pain 40,000 times while running."

When asked why he runs to such lengths, Sean responded, "Someone must have asked the independence activists the same question. Thanks to their silent dedication, we enjoy what we have today."

Regarding the 815 Run, he added, "I want to give my utmost to the independence activists." Jeon Hyun-moo reflected, "It's because of Sean that we're talking about 815 now."

Crossing the finish line in 7 hours and 50 minutes while waving the Korean flag, Sean expressed, "The word 'overwhelming' best describes it. More than completing the 81.5km, I'm overwhelmed by the thought of delivering a thank-you letter." He then collapsed from exhaustion.

Exclaiming, "It will be alright, Korea," Sean achieved a fundraising goal of 2.3 billion won. He explained, "We raised 1.1 billion won from entry fees and 1.2 billion won from 110 companies, each donating 8.15 million won." He emphasized the importance of involving many companies, stating, "I believe it's more meaningful when many companies participate."
