BoA Advocates for More Non-Alcoholic Options in Restaurants Amid Past Controversy
Singer BoA has expressed a small wish.

On October 8th, BoA took to her Instagram story to share a brief message without any accompanying photo: "I hope there will be more restaurants in our country that sell non-alcoholic options."

Previously, in April, BoA was involved in a controversy following a 'drunken live broadcast' with Jeon Hyun-moo. Jeon surprised his followers with an impromptu live session on Instagram. With a flushed face suggesting he had been drinking, Jeon admitted, "Someone told me to do this, so it's my first time." Shortly after, BoA appeared on screen.

BoA explained her visit to Jeon's home by saying, "You asked me to drink, didn't you?" Appearing intoxicated, she commented, "Hyun-moo oppa's house is a mess. The interior isn't great, and the guest bathroom smells bad." During the broadcast, BoA also attempted several instances of physical contact, such as leaning on Jeon's shoulder and touching his face.

The situation escalated when a viewer asked Jeon about a dating rumor with comedian Park Na-rae. BoA interjected, "I don't think they'll ever date. Oppa is too good for her," making comments about someone not present.

The broadcast was eventually halted by concerned parties. Following the incident, BoA and Jeon were caught up in dating rumors and faced criticism for being disrespectful to Park Na-rae. Netizens commented, "You're too old to joke about who's better or worse publicly," "It was thoughtless to do a live broadcast while drunk, especially just the two of you," "If you two become a couple, how about calling yourselves the 'Oblivious Couple'?" and "BoA, closing the comment section isn't enough. Apologize to Park Na-rae."
