Stray Kids have soared to the top of the 2025 K-pop album sales charts with their fourth studio album, 'KARMA', achieving a remarkable triple million-seller status in its first week.
Released on August 22, 'KARMA' and its title track 'CEREMONY' marked the group's return after two years. According to Hanteo Chart, the album sold over 2 million copies on its first day, achieving double million-seller status immediately. By the end of the week, it had sold approximately 3.03 million copies, making it the only album in 2025 to surpass 3 million first-week sales, securing the top spot. The album also topped Hanteo's weekly physical album chart (2025.08.18~08.24) and Circle Chart's weekly retail album chart (2025.08.17~08.23), as well as the Circle Chart's weekly album chart (2025.08.17~08.23).
On Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform, Stray Kids set several records. As the first fourth-generation K-pop group to surpass 20 million followers, they ranked second globally, fifth in the U.S., and third in the UK on Spotify's 'Top Album Debut' chart for August 22-24. The title track 'CEREMONY' ranked second globally and in the U.S., and seventh in the UK on the 'Top Song Debut' chart. Additionally, tracks like '삐처리', 'CREED', 'In My Head', '엉망 (MESS)', 'Phoenix', 'Ghost', and '반전 (Half Time)' all secured spots in the global top 10.
'KARMA' also set new records for the most streams on its release day and first week for a K-pop group in 2025 on Spotify. 'CEREMONY' became the most-streamed song in its first week for a K-pop boy group in 2025. With over 2.52 million streams on its release day, 'CEREMONY' debuted at 27th on Spotify's daily top songs global chart and remained on the chart for six consecutive days, marking the longest stay for a K-pop boy group this year.
Stray Kids are also making waves on the UK's Official Charts, one of the world's top three music charts. On August 26, 'CEREMONY' ranked sixth on the Official Trending Chart, which lists the hottest new tracks in the UK. The Official Charts Company hinted at a historic moment for Stray Kids, predicting that 'KARMA' could achieve their highest chart position yet, as they have never entered the top 10 of the Official Albums Chart.
On August 29, at 1 PM (midnight Eastern Time), Stray Kids will release the remix digital single 'CEREMONY (Celebrate Remixes)'.
