K-Pop Group Kep1er's Fuzhou Fan Concert Postponed Due to Unforeseen Circumstances

The fan concert of K-pop group Kep1er in Fuzhou, China, has been postponed indefinitely.

Kep1er's agency announced on the 27th that the concert schedule has been delayed due to unavoidable local circumstances. A new date for the event has not yet been determined.

Kep1er was originally scheduled to hold a fan concert on September 13th at the Fujian Meeting Hall in Fuzhou, which can accommodate approximately 1,500 attendees. The event was set to feature a combination of fan interactions and performances, with around 15 songs planned for the setlist.

Since the deployment of the THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) system by the U.S. military in South Korea in 2016, China has unofficially restricted Korean music, dramas, and films. As a result, some K-pop artists have been engaging with fans through smaller fan meetings. There was growing anticipation for a relaxation of the Hallyu (Korean Wave) restrictions with Kep1er's concert, but it has now been postponed. Previously, in May, the group EPEX announced a concert in China, which was later canceled.
