Red Velvet's Wendy has been voted as the number one female singer people want to watch a movie with while enjoying popcorn.
From August 14 to 20, TENASIA conducted a poll asking, 'Which female singer would you like to watch a movie with on a rainy day while eating popcorn?' Wendy emerged as the top choice.
Wendy is set to release a new solo album next month, marking her first release since signing with Ascend. Her agency announced on July 24 that Wendy's new album is confirmed for release next month. This will be her first album since leaving SM Entertainment and joining Ascend in April.
Additionally, Wendy is preparing for her '2025 WENDY 1st WORLD TOUR 'W:EALIVE',' with the first performances scheduled for September 20 and 21 at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul.
In second place is Girls' Generation's YoonA. She is actively pursuing her acting career with the recent release of the movie 'Pretty Crazy' on August 13 and the upcoming tvN drama 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,' premiering on August 23. In 'Pretty Crazy,' YoonA plays Jung Sun-ji, a bakery owner by day and a devil by night. In 'Bon Appétit, Your Majesty,' she portrays Yoon Ji-young, a French chef who time-slips into the past. The drama is a survival fantasy romantic comedy about a chef from the future meeting a king with an extraordinary palate.
Third place goes to Ian from Hearts2Hearts. The group recently attended the '2025 TIMA' in China, a major music awards event hosted by Tencent Music Entertainment Group. The event took place on August 22 and 23 at the Galaxy Arena in Macau, featuring performances by groups like aespa, RIIZE, and Hearts to Hearts on the first day, and NCT WISH and SMTR25 on the second day.
Hearts to Hearts performed a mystical stage with 'The Chase,' an energetic 'STYLE,' and a lively cover of Girls' Generation's 'Gee.'
