S.E.S member Shoo has revealed that she and her husband, Im Hyo-sung, have been living separately for four years.
On the 22nd, Shoo uploaded a video titled "Divorce Rumors? Separation Rumors? The Truth from Shoo and Her Husband" on her channel.
In the video, Shoo shared, "I've been married to my husband for four years, and we've been friends for 11 years. I always tell my kids that their dad is my eternal best friend. Our relationship is neutral."
When the production team mentioned rumors of divorce or separation, Shoo clarified, "We haven't divorced," adding, "If we were divorced, who would take the kids, who would pay child support, and we would have to stay apart and not see each other."
Im Hyo-sung responded, "We haven't agreed on that, so we're still together. It's not easy to make a decision because of the important kids."
The couple also revealed that they are living as a weekend couple. Shoo mentioned, "Why bring laundry all the way here? The gas costs more," indicating they live separately. Im Hyo-sung added, "I live outside due to work, but I come to Shoo's place on Fridays or Saturdays for a night or two before returning to my place. We've been doing this for about four years."
Meanwhile, Shoo was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for two years, and 80 hours of community service in February 2019 for habitual gambling overseas, including in Macau, from August 2016 to May 2018.
