H.O.T.'s Moon Hee-jun Prepares for Reunion Concert After Six Years

Moon Hee-jun shares updates as he gears up for H.O.T.'s first full-member concert in six years.

On the 22nd, the YouTube channel 'Jaemi House' released a video titled 'The Legend Returns?! Exclusive Look at H.O.T. Hee-jun Dad's Concert Practice!'.

In the video, Moon Hee-jun is seen practicing for the much-anticipated H.O.T. reunion concert. His wife, Soyul, visited the practice room with their children, saying, "I came to remember his cool side," to which Moon Hee-jun humorously replied, "How lucky you are to live with a legend."

Moon Hee-jun revealed, "A month before the H.O.T. concert, my wife's tone becomes softer and more respectful. But the day after the concert, she goes back to her usual self, yelling about putting dishes in the sink. Before the concert, it feels like she's looking at a senior."

During practice, Moon Hee-jun reminisced about his H.O.T. days. He was selected through an official audition, saying, "About ten people were chosen with me, but the other members weren't there. Later, Kangta, Tony, Jae-won, and Woo-hyuk joined one by one."

He named the choreography for their 5th album title track, 'Outside Castle,' as the most challenging, admitting, "Even now, it's hard to remember when I dance it." The dancers agreed, noting the lack of repetition, many variations, and sign language incorporated into the choreography.

Moon Hee-jun, who choreographed the dance himself, shared, "Usually, when creating choreography, the members watch and cheer, but it was a unique situation then. For the 5th album, I created the choreography alone. It wasn't coming together, so I spent a month living at SM, sleeping on mats in the practice room. Rumors spread among juniors that 'H.O.T. works this hard to be number one.'"

Reflecting on the upcoming full-member concert, Moon Hee-jun said, "Sometimes, memories of being on stage suddenly come back while living daily life. Even when I see the members after a long time, it doesn't feel awkward, like we saw each other yesterday," showcasing their enduring friendship.

Having confirmed the concert a month ago, Moon Hee-jun admitted, "There were many ups and downs. I wanted to succeed in dieting and stand on stage, but that's a bit disappointing. I'm still eating vegetables to lose weight. My goal is to return to my debut weight by March next year. Until then, I'll live like a herbivore."

He encouraged fans, "Build up your stamina to enjoy the concert to the fullest rather than just sitting. I'll pour out six years of energy to show you the best stage."

Meanwhile, H.O.T., consisting of Moon Hee-jun, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony An, Kangta, and Lee Jae-won, will headline the 'Hanteo Music Festival' on September 6th and 7th.
