H.O.T.'s Highly Anticipated Reunion Faces Setbacks with Festival and TV Appearance Delays

The iconic K-pop group H.O.T. is facing unexpected challenges ahead of their much-anticipated reunion after six years. The festival they were set to headline has had its schedule altered, and their appearance on JTBC's 'Newsroom' has been postponed.

On the 22nd, Hanteo Global released an official statement saying, "The festival was initially scheduled for September 6th and 7th at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. However, during stage simulations and site inspections, we identified structural limitations that would hinder the immersive experience we aim to provide for both the audience and artists." The statement further announced changes to the venue and schedule.

They assured fans, "While some performers may change due to the schedule adjustment, H.O.T. will remain as the headliner."

Additionally, "H.O.T.'s appearance on JTBC's 'Newsroom,' planned for promoting the 'Hanteo Music Festival,' has also been postponed," they added.

H.O.T.'s full-group performance was eagerly awaited, marking their first since the 2019 concert at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome, and was initially set to coincide with their 29th debut anniversary on September 7th.

Official Statement on 'Hanteo Music Festival' Schedule and Venue Changes

Hello, this is Hanteo Global, the organizer of the '2025 Hanteo Music Festival.'

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment caused by the change in the festival schedule to all who have been waiting.

Originally, the festival was planned for September 6th and 7th at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. However, during stage simulations and site inspections, we found structural limitations that would prevent the audience and artists from enjoying the event as closely and immersively as intended. We apologize again for not thoroughly reviewing the conditions suitable for the nature of the performance, causing concern to those who have been waiting.

We have decided to prepare the festival in a way that allows the audience to enjoy it comfortably at a venue that suits the nature of the event. The new schedule and venue will be announced through official channels soon, and we will also provide detailed information on refund and ticket change procedures due to the schedule change.

While some performers may change due to the schedule adjustment, H.O.T. will remain as the headliner.

We take this matter seriously and will do our best to repay the trust of the fans. We will not forget the patience you have shown and will prepare a performance that everyone can enjoy and relate to. Thank you.

Additionally, we inform you that H.O.T.'s appearance on JTBC's 'Newsroom,' planned for promoting the 'Hanteo Music Festival,' has also been postponed.
