ASTRO's Unit ZOONIZINI Promises Unique Chemistry with Debut Album 'DICE'

ASTRO's unit ZOONIZINI, consisting of members MJ and Jinjin, is set to showcase their unique 'eldest brothers' chemistry, reminiscent of iconic duos like Pat & Mat and Tom & Jerry.

Recently, ZOONIZINI held an interview at Fantagio's headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their debut unit album 'DICE'.

The intriguing unit name, ZOONIZINI, has piqued curiosity. Unlike previous units within the group, such as 'Moonbin & Sanha', which were named after the members, the duo chose a more playful and memorable name.

Regarding the unit name, MJ explained, "Originally, it was 'MJ & Jinjin', but it seemed to lack impact. We wanted a name that would be easily memorable to the public, not just known to fans. After brainstorming, we came up with ZOONIZINI, a name that sticks with everyone."

Jinjin added, "During the album planning meetings, MJ came up with many ideas. We wanted to highlight cartoon-like moments, inspired by Pat & Mat and Tom & Jerry. MJ suggested the name ZOONIZINI, and although it seemed childish, it was catchy and perfect."

ZOONIZINI's first mini-album 'DICE' explores an unpredictable journey, symbolized by rolling dice. The album features six tracks that form a cohesive story, with Jinjin contributing to five of the songs, including the title track, to establish their unique musical style.

The title track, 'Some Things Never Change', is an emotional hip-hop track that blends a rhythmic piano loop with a classic boom-bap beat. It stands out with its simple yet addictive rapping and melody, making it an easy-listening experience.

ZOONIZINI's exciting debut album 'DICE' will be available on various online music platforms on the 13th at 6 PM.
