Previously, in 2010, Kim Byung-man registered his marriage with A, who is seven years his senior, and adopted her daughter B as his own. In 2023, the Supreme Court finalized their divorce. Subsequently, on the 7th, B filed a lawsuit at the Seoul Family Court to confirm her biological relationship with Kim Byung-man. She claimed, "Kim Byung-man had two children with another woman during his marriage to A," and requested a DNA test to resolve inheritance-related issues. Kim's side countered, stating, "After the marriage with A broke down, he had two children with his fiancée."

On the 8th, the Seoul Family Court accepted Kim Byung-man's request to disown B. This was his third attempt after two previous rejections. Kim's representatives argued that "false accusations and immoral acts were recognized, leading to the disownment," but the court considered the irreparable father-daughter relationship and B's adulthood in its decision.

'Joseon's Love Master' airs every Monday at 10 PM on TV CHOSUN.
