SHINee's Key Discusses Coincidental Album Title 'HUNTER' Amid Netflix Animation Release

SHINee's Key expressed his surprise at the coincidental release of his new album 'HUNTER' alongside Netflix's animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters'.

On the 11, Key held a press conference at the Pullman Ambassador Seoul East Pole to discuss his third studio album 'HUNTER'.

During the event, Key confessed, "When I decided on the title 'HUNTER', I had no idea that Netflix's animation 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' would be released."

He added, "I was taken aback when the animation came out after we had already filmed the music video. The high note challenge from 'GOLDEN' is trending, and coincidentally, this song also has a high-pitched part, so it worked out well. Some reactions questioned if we were aware of the animation, but there was no such timing. I'm grateful that the word 'HUNTER' is familiar now."

Regarding the animator of 'K-Pop Demon Hunters' drawing inspiration from SHINee, Key said, "I heard about it later and wondered if they were inspired by our iconic bright image. The colorful outfits, dancing, and the stability of an odd-numbered group, including hair colors, were mentioned. I felt proud, but we don't travel by private jet," he joked.

Key's third studio album 'HUNTER' marks his first full-length release in three years since 'Gasoline' in August 2022. The album features ten tracks, including the title track 'HUNTER', 'Trap', and 'Strange'. 'HUNTER' is a dance track with a grand bass, heavy kick sound, rhythmic guitar riff, and various synth pads. The performance was pre-released during the 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' concert at Tokyo Dome on September 9-10.

Key's third studio album 'HUNTER' will be available on various music streaming platforms from 6 PM on the 11.
