CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, released the music video for the intro track 'GO!' from their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' on HYBE Labels' YouTube channel at midnight on the 11th.
According to Big Hit Music, 'GO!' is a track that all members participated in writing and composing. The song captivates listeners with its minimal trap rhythm and powerful synthesizer sounds. Lyrics like “Bring the new hit” and “We don’t need another sign” reflect their ambitious goal to color the world with CORTIS's unique style. The raw energy typical of teenagers is a key charm, and lyrics that incorporate the members' real-life stories, such as “I was a bit peculiar in the neighborhood since I was young,” add to the listening experience.
All five members are credited as co-directors of the 'GO!' music video, showcasing their impressive creative talents in both music and video production despite being teenagers. This highlights their identity as a 'young creator crew' who collaboratively create major content.
The 'GO!' music video was produced based on videos freely planned, shot, and edited by CORTIS during their trainee days. Filmed in Los Angeles, the video stands out with its unconventional direction, focusing on capturing quirky and fun moments rather than just coolness. It features scenes of the members cooling off under car wash jets or running with a 360-degree camera in their mouths, portraying teenagers in their natural element. On the 12th at midnight, they will release a conceptual performance film focusing on the choreography of 'GO!', allowing fans to enjoy the dance created by the members.
Meanwhile, CORTIS is set to release the title track 'What You Want' on the 18th at 6 PM. Their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' will be officially released on the 8th of next month at 6 PM.
