JYP Entertainment has announced the termination of its exclusive contract with VCHA member KG.
On the 8th, JYP released an official statement saying, "JYP America and KG Crown have mutually agreed to terminate the existing contract with KG as a member of VCHA. Both parties have decided to support each other's future endeavors."
Previously, KG declared her departure from the group, citing abuse from a company staff member. In December of last year, KG claimed on her Instagram, "After experiencing abuse from certain staff members, I decided to terminate my contract with JYP Entertainment and leave VCHA. I filed a lawsuit yesterday." At the time, JYP America expressed regret over KG's decision to "unilaterally disclose false and exaggerated information to the public and choose litigation."
Meanwhile, on the 7th, JYP announced plans to rebrand VCHA under the new name GIRLSET. The GIRLSET lineup consists of former VCHA members Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savanna. Kaylee, who had paused activities due to health issues, left the group last month.
