Actress Park Yoo-na has been cast as the lead in the upcoming drama 'Shut Up, You're the Villain of My Work'.
Set to premiere exclusively on the TVING mobile app on August 4, the TVING short original 'Shut Up, You're the Villain of My Work' (directed by Jung Jong-hoon, written by Jung Hee-yoon) is a suspenseful revenge drama. It follows a school violence victim who becomes a famous drama writer and encounters her bully as the lead actor in her new project. The intertwined past and present, along with complex emotions, promise to deliver a gripping narrative.
Park Yoo-na will portray 'Kang Seo-yeon', a faceless star writer working under a pseudonym. As a drama writer, Kang Seo-yeon reunites with her past bully, Yoo Hye-ji (played by Park Hae-in), during the casting process of her new work. This encounter sets the stage for a revenge puzzle that spans past and present. The character's introduction alone is enough to excite audiences, hinting at the birth of another iconic role.
Park Yoo-na has showcased her stable acting skills across various genres, appearing in dramas such as 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty', 'SKY Castle', 'Hotel Del Luna', 'True Beauty', and 'Police University'. Notably, in JTBC's 'SKY Castle', she played the role of Cha Se-ri, a fake Harvard student, exuding charisma and girl-crush appeal. In tvN's 'True Beauty', she left a strong impression on global viewers as Yoo Eun, the class president with a surprising charm, expanding her fan base.
Meanwhile, the TVING short original 'Shut Up, You're the Villain of My Work' will be available for free on the TVING mobile app starting August 4, with all 50 episodes released at once. As TVING's first short-form series, it is garnering significant attention.
