K-Pop Idols Engage in Fiery Debates on 'Salon de Dol: You Talk Too Much'

The ENA variety show 'Salon de Dol: You Talk Too Much' captivates viewers with its bold discussions. During a conversation about 'annoying dining habits,' Key expressed his disdain for people who hide meat dishes.

'Salon de Dol: You Talk Too Much' (directed by Lee Tae-kyung, written by Jo Mi-hyun, produced by TEO) is a talk show where K-Pop idols from different generations gather to engage in heated debates over trivial topics. In the prequel episode airing today (1st), Key, Lee Chang-sub, and Hyoyeon share candid and humorous stories on various subjects such as dating, work life, and human relationships. After experiencing over 12 hours of 'talk hell,' the trio reportedly exclaimed, "This is a first," and "I might not speak for a while."

The topic of 'dating' particularly ignited passionate responses from all three. When asked, "Who is the most dangerous: an ex-girlfriend, first love, past crush, female friend, or a new woman?" each offered different answers, leading to a fierce debate. Hyoyeon firmly stated, "A new woman with no known information is the most dangerous."

The dining topic also elicited empathy and laughter. Key reacted with shock to the mention of people who hide meat under their rice, asking, "Do you really have to live like that?" He also shared a survival story from his trainee days involving a competition over a single piece of chicken.

In the segment 'Idol's Night,' viewers can hear the genuine stories of the three idols who found success later in their careers. They all agreed that being completely edited out of a show is more disheartening than 'evil editing.' Lee Chang-sub and Hyoyeon humorously added, "I'd rather be edited as the villain and go viral," and "I don't mind being portrayed as a villain if it means I get airtime."

The show also delves into reflections on idol generations and shares various behind-the-scenes stories from the stage. Key reveals an anecdote about overhearing gossip after appearing on a broadcast show and shares a humorous story about idol security culture. When asked about a preferable dating rumor partner, 'a chaebol family vs. a power hot star,' the three reportedly made the same choice, sparking curiosity.

'Salon de Dol' is the second collaboration between ENA and TEO's Lee Tae-kyung PD. The prequel episodes 1-4 will be aired at various times to reach a wide audience. ENA plans to expose the show at different times, similar to their web variety content like 'Salon Drip' and 'Ex-Convict.' The broadcast schedule will be announced on ENA's official social media, with episode 2 airing on the 1st at 8:30 AM and 10 PM.
