Facing the harsh realities of Harvard, Keum struggled with language barriers and had to take English classes to understand her courses. She confessed to enduring days of silent tears in the school's basement, feeling left behind in an unfamiliar environment.

Nevertheless, Keum persevered. She achieved straight A's in her first semester and received the 'Detur Prize,' awarded to the top 10% of students. Her study abroad experience, initially hindered by her lack of English proficiency, ultimately led to her being recognized as a hardworking genius.
