2NE1's Park Bom announced her withdrawal from the 'Waterbomb Busan 2025' stage just before the event, leaving fans disappointed.
Recent comments on Park Bom's social media include sentiments such as, "It's heartbreaking that there's a lack of communication with fans," "Tired of the company's repetitive formal notices," "If this continues, what should fans trust when buying tickets?" and "Trust takes years to build but can be broken in an instant."
This reaction follows the news on the 26th that 2NE1 was set to perform at 'Waterbomb Busan 2025' as a group, but Park Bom announced her absence just before the performance. Her agency, D-Nation Entertainment, officially stated, "Due to health issues, Park Bom is unable to attend 'Waterbomb Busan 2025' today. We sincerely apologize for the sudden news and ask for your understanding. We will do our best for Park Bom's quick recovery."
This is not the first time Park Bom has canceled a performance unexpectedly. Last month, she also missed the 'Head in the Clouds' music festival in Los Angeles. At that time, her agency cited "personal reasons" on the day of the event, but fans expressed dissatisfaction with her repeated absences.
Despite missing performances, Park Bom has continued her personal social media activities, drawing criticism from some fans. The accumulated disappointment surfaced with her absence from 'Waterbomb Busan.'
Other artists scheduled for Waterbomb, such as Kwon Eun-bi and Monsta X's I.M, also withdrew due to health issues. Their respective agencies, Woollim Entertainment and Starship Entertainment, announced the cancellations citing health concerns and the need for treatment.
Park Bom participated in 'Waterbomb Seoul' on the 6th but missed the Busan event. She is expected to perform at 'Waterbomb Bali 2025' in Indonesia this September and is also scheduled for a halftime performance at the '2025 Coupang Play Series' match between Tottenham and Newcastle at Seoul World Cup Stadium on August 3rd.
