Ashley explained, "My mom suggested, 'Why don't you come to New York, spend time with family and friends to recover, and then return to Korea to find a new place?'" She left her belongings in Korea and departed to heal her heart.

Discussing the breakup, she added, "It was my first time breaking up with someone I lived with. At that moment, I felt like my life was over. It's been two months, and I'm still recovering. How can anyone fully recover?"

Ashley concluded by saying, "Just because a relationship ends doesn't mean you're a failure. I have no regrets because I gave it my all."

Ashley debuted with the girl group Ladies' Code in 2013.
