Roy Kim revealed his connection with BTS on the latest episode of MBC's variety show 'The Manager'.
On the episode aired on the evening of the 19th, singer Roy Kim and actress Park Ji-hyun made guest appearances.
During the show, Roy Kim was introduced as having received a rookie award in 2013, the same year as BTS. He humorously noted, "Our positions are quite different now."
When asked by Hong Hyun-hee about his rumored friendship with BTS and whether he had written a song for Jungkook, Roy Kim candidly admitted, "I've seen them in passing, but we aren't close at all," surprising everyone.
Roy Kim shared that he imagined writing a song for Jungkook and ended up performing 'WE GO HIGH' himself, earning applause from the audience.
Previously, Roy Kim had turned down a song request from Park Bo-gum, explaining, "It was during the time when 'Only Then' was popular. Writing a similar song wasn't easy. I said I'd try, but I never heard back. I ended up singing the songs I had prepared myself," showcasing his quirky side and bringing laughter.
Meanwhile, Roy Kim was impressed by Park Joo-hyun's live singing skills, who once dreamed of becoming a singer after being cast by SM Entertainment. He humorously commented, "Your tone is nice. With some post-production, it could work," causing laughter.
