According to Billboard's preview article for the chart dated the 19th, the song 'Golden' by the fictional girl group Huntress from the series has climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. This marks a significant leap from last week's position at No. 23, with streaming numbers reaching 18.8 million (a 39% increase from the previous week), radio audience at 950,000, and sales of 3,000 copies. It's a remarkable achievement for a virtual K-pop artist group.
Notably, among K-pop groups, only BTS has previously entered the Hot 100's top 10, with hits like 'Dynamite' and 'Butter' reaching No. 1. BTS holds six No. 1 songs on the chart.
As the virtual girl group surpasses real K-pop groups, interest in the actual singers of 'Golden' is surging. The song's vocalists are all Korean-American: Lumi's part is sung by EJAE (Kim Eun-jae), a former SM Entertainment trainee and composer; Mira's vocals are by hip-hop and R&B singer-songwriter Audrey Nuna (Choo Hae-won); and Joy's voice is provided by hip-hop and electronic artist Rei Ami (Lee Ye-eun).
The K-pop boy group Saja Boys, who rival Huntress in the series, is also showing strong performance on global charts.
