SBS's popular variety show 'Running Man' marked its 15th anniversary by inviting Super Junior members Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Kyuhyun to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary. However, some fans expressed disappointment, suggesting that a special episode featuring only the original members with innovative games would have been more fitting.
The episode, aired on the 13th, featured a race titled 'You Might Take the Gold,' with Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, and Kyuhyun as guests, adding excitement to the show. Ji Suk-jin expressed amazement at their 20-year journey, praising Super Junior's loyalty for maintaining the group without member changes. Eunhyuk humorously responded, "There were changes, but with so many members, it wasn't noticeable."
Yang Se-chan asked if they still fight, to which Leeteuk candidly replied, "Yes, we still bicker like Jae-suk and Suk-jin." Eunhyuk added, "We don't fight as intensely as before; we're too old for that now."
The mission took place at SBS Deungchon Hall, where Super Junior has many memories. Eunhyuk reminisced, "We debuted here, and our first win was here." Leeteuk added, "Today's waiting room is where we had a fight." Eunhyuk clarified, "It was more of a scuffle than a fight."
Kyuhyun recalled a past incident, "Leeteuk was annoyed by a prank involving water on a blanket. I had just returned from church and played a prank, only to get hit on the back of my head." Eunhyuk humorously added, "I was just standing there and got hit too."
Yoo Jae-suk teased Leeteuk about his lack of restraint as a leader, to which Leeteuk joked, "It feels like a workplace." He also recalled, "We won first place on a music show that day, but Eunhyuk didn't give an acceptance speech." Eunhyuk explained, "I did, but with a sour expression, which led to 'Eunhyuk Bullying' trending online."
The race involved eating increasingly spicy foods in a relay. The members struggled with the 15 levels of spiciness. Song Ji-hyo managed up to level 7, passing the baton to Yoo Jae-suk, who trembled after eating spicy curry and steak. Ha-ha joked, "I thought you were at a club."
Yoo Jae-suk shed tears after eating level 10 spicy pork cutlet, prompting concern from Eunhyuk. Yoo Jae-suk's team, including Song Ji-hyo, Ha-ha, Kim Jong-kook, and Eunhyuk, completed up to level 14, while Suk-jin's team succeeded in reaching level 15, earning 70 R-coins. Yoo Jae-suk's team earned 40 coins.
