ATEEZ member Yunho is set to appear in a special drama celebrating the 20th anniversary of the popular MBC variety show 'Infinite Challenge'.
According to TENASIA's report on the 28th, Yunho has been cast in the drama, which has already completed filming. The drama is designed as a vertical short-form series and is based on the 'Infinite Challenge' episode 'Jeong General Manager's Shot', focusing on the electronic brain world of Jeong Jun-ha. Yunho plays the role of an assistant manager at an IT company in the series.
Yunho made his acting debut in 2021 with the KBS drama 'Imitation', where he played the role of Lee Yoo-jin, a member of the fictional boy group Sparkling. His real-life experience as a boy group member helped enhance viewer engagement.
The decision to cast Yunho was significantly influenced by the global popularity of ATEEZ, particularly among Gen Z, who are familiar with short-form content. Yunho's previous acting experience and his special affection for 'Infinite Challenge' also played a positive role in his casting.
An industry insider noted, "Yunho is a devoted fan of 'Infinite Challenge' and has a deep understanding of the 'Electronic Brain Jeong Jun-ha' universe. He is expected to showcase new charms based on his acting experience."
ATEEZ, the group Yunho is part of, released their 12th mini-album 'Golden Hour: Part 3' on the 13th. The title track 'Lemon Drop' entered the US Billboard Main Song Chart 'Hot 100' at number 69 on June 28. ATEEZ will kick off their 2025 World Tour 'IN YOUR FANTASY' with performances on July 5-6 at the Inspire Arena in Incheon, Yeongjongdo.
