Actor Lee Jang-woo has expressed his frustration over his recent weight gain.
On the October 27th episode of MBC's variety show 'I Live Alone', the 'Palm Oil Line' trio, consisting of TV personalities Jun Hyun-moo, Park Na-rae, and Lee Jang-woo, embarked on a trip to Istanbul, Turkey. The three reunited after some time and noticed changes in each other's physiques.
Lee Jang-woo expressed his disappointment at the changed atmosphere. He remarked, "It's a bit sad. Noona (Park Na-rae) has lost weight and looks beautiful, and hyung (Jun Hyun-moo) has also slimmed down," highlighting that he was the only one who had gained weight. He added, "I watched our Vietnam trip episode again last night," recalling the Palm Oil Seminar, and exclaimed, "Look at that. I was slim back then."
The Palm Oil Line had previously embarked on a fitness journey after Lee Jang-woo declared his intention to diet at the '2023 MBC Entertainment Awards'. The trio aimed to take body profile photos together, committing to exercise and diet control for about four months. Their weight loss journey garnered attention.
Jun Hyun-moo successfully reduced his weight from 85kg to 71.7kg, maintaining his weight without any rebound. Park Na-rae also reduced her body fat from 34% to 22%, sharing on the YouTube channel 'YouTube Boom' that she went from 62kg during her bulking phase to 48kg.
Lee Jang-woo made a significant transformation, dropping from 108kg to 86kg. However, he recently admitted to experiencing a rebound, appearing on the YouTube channel of mukbang creator Hibab, where he confessed, "A week ago, I weighed 96kg. I think I'm back in the triple digits now. My weight fluctuates by 5kg in a day."
Meanwhile, Lee Jang-woo has announced his upcoming marriage to actress Jo Hye-won, who is eight years his junior. The couple, who went public with their relationship in June last year, will tie the knot on November 23rd.
