Kim Hee-sun Takes Lead Role in New Drama 'No Next Life'


Actress Kim Hee-sun has been cast as the lead in the drama 'No Next Life'.

Her agency, Hinge Entertainment, announced, "Kim Hee-sun will play the protagonist, Jo Na-jung, in the TV Chosun drama 'No Next Life'. Viewers can expect to see a completely different side of Kim Hee-sun compared to her previous work 'Our House'. The drama will realistically portray the intricate emotions felt by middle-aged women."

'No Next Life' is a drama that tells the growth story of middle-aged women who are exhausted from balancing childcare and work. Directed by Seong Do-jun of 'Uncle' and written by Shin Yi-won of 'Green Mothers' Club', the series promises to deliver a realistic narrative.

Kim Hee-sun will portray Jo Na-jung, a former high-earning show host who is now a mother of two and experiencing a career break. In the drama, Jo Na-jung, who lives as an ordinary housewife, decides to return to the stage after a chance encounter, embarking on a serious challenge towards the second act of her life. Kim Hee-sun is set to candidly depict the realities and ideals of career-interrupted women, as well as the stories of work and childcare.

The drama also features actresses Han Hye-jin and Jin Seo-yeon as Kim Hee-sun's close friends. The series will focus on the unwavering friendship and growth of three women, each facing different challenges in different environments.

'No Next Life' is set to premiere this November.
