MBC's upcoming Friday-Saturday drama 'Mary Kills People' has revealed its first script reading session.
Set to premiere on August 1st at 10 PM, 'Mary Kills People' (planned by Kwon Sung-chang, directed by Park Joon-woo, written by Lee Soo-ah, produced by Mr. Romance, Moving Pictures Company, Studio Anzailen) is a suspense drama about a doctor who assists terminally ill patients with euthanasia and a detective who pursues them.
The drama is highly anticipated due to the collaboration between director Park Joon-woo, known for his explosive action in 'Taxi Driver' and 'Crash', and writer Lee Soo-ah, who has crafted intense character plays in films like 'The Law of Sensuality' and 'My Special Brother', as well as the drama 'Unemployment Benefit Romance'. The cast includes seasoned actors such as Lee Bo-young, Lee Min-ki, Kang Ki-young, Baek Hyun-jin, Kwon Hae-hyo, Kim Tae-woo, Seo Young-hee, Tae Hang-ho, Yoo Seung-mok, and Shim So-young, promising a top-tier suspense drama.

Lee Min-ki shines as Jo Hyun-woo, a terminal cancer patient, delivering a calm yet intense performance that captures the dilemma between life and death.
Kang Ki-young enhances the drama's immersion as Choi Dae-hyun, a former plastic surgeon who assists with euthanasia alongside Woo So-jung. His versatile acting tone, switching between warmth and seriousness, adds humor and tension to the drama.
