Joy Hyun was instantly captivated by Choo Young-woo as he walked backward towards her.
On the premiere episode of tvN's 'Gyeonwoo and Seonnyeo' (directed by Kim Yong-wan and Jung Woo-sik, written by Yang Ji-hoon) aired on the 23rd at 8:50 PM, Park Seong-ah (played by Joy Hyun) was shown falling in love at first sight with Bae Gyeon-woo (played by Choo Young-woo).
In this episode, high school shaman Park Seong-ah made a striking entrance with an intense ritual. By day, she lives as a high school student, and by night, she transforms into the celestial shaman, Cheonji Seonnyeo. During the ritual, the temple's shaman announced, "After completing the twelve exorcisms and summoning the ancestral spirits, it's time to let them go for peace of mind."
When the alarm rang at 7:30 AM, Park Seong-ah suddenly exclaimed, "I don't have time right now," and "I have urgent matters," as she attempted to halt the ritual. Dressed in her school uniform, she declared it was midterm exams and questioned who would take responsibility if she couldn't get into college, before rushing to school, only to arrive late.
After a tiring day, Park Seong-ah returned as Cheonji Seonnyeo to the temple to perform a divination. When someone entered, she murmured in admiration, "Found him," and "Sharp eyes, a prominent nose, full lips, how can he be so handsome even upside down?"
It was Bae Gyeon-woo. Park Seong-ah was smitten by Bae Gyeon-woo walking backward but was startled by his reverse walking, as another shaman had warned her to be cautious. She wondered, "Could this be a prophetic dream?" and remarked, "Even so, how can this be?" while gazing at Bae Gyeon-woo's face, saying, "He's too handsome to die."
