Actor Yoon Shi-yoon has taken on an extreme diet challenge in preparation for his role in the upcoming drama 'Taxi Driver 3'.
On the October 22nd episode of SBS's 'My Little Old Boy', Yoon Shi-yoon revealed his intense diet regimen ahead of filming. Standing at 177cm and weighing 67.4kg with a body fat percentage of 6.7%, Yoon's physique was described by Seo Jang-hoon as having virtually no body fat.
Yoon had previously expressed his desire to present a different texture in 'Taxi Driver 3', aiming for a gaunt appearance to fit his character.
Yoon Shi-yoon declared, "Today is a 24-hour water fast day." He abstained from drinking water and adhered to a 'waterless diet', crafting dumplings from dried tofu and using asparagus, known for its diuretic properties, for his meal.
During the meal, Yoon grimaced, commenting, "It's so dry," but encouraged himself with affirmations like "Don't weaken. This is how everyone lives. Oh, it's delicious. So delicious," evoking sympathy from viewers.
With just three days until filming, Yoon engaged in high-intensity workouts to sweat out excess water, followed by a 45-degree extreme sauna session for complete dehydration. Like a UFC fighter, he soaked in hot water for 20 minutes to shed water weight, impressing onlookers.
After a day as the 'water fasting king', Yoon Shi-yoon astonishingly dropped to 62.3kg with a body fat percentage of 3.6%, losing 5kg in just one day. Fellow cast members were amazed, exclaiming, "That's incredible. Truly impressive."
Visiting a photo studio, Yoon expressed his desire to test how he appears on camera, aiming to showcase a sharp, intense look that he has never shown before. Shin Dong-yup praised his transformation, calling him "a true professional."
