Korean Singer Yoon Jong-shin Shares Struggles with Crohn's Disease
Korean singer and producer Yoon Jong-shin recently opened up about his ongoing battle with Crohn's disease, sharing his experience of abdominal pain due to the chronic condition.

On October 21, Yoon took to social media to update his followers, stating, "It's been a while since I've had Crohn's pain. I couldn't join my friends for a meal after our round of golf. Please don't misunderstand... Crohn's always comes like this." He added, "You came to me over 30 years ago, and I learned your name, Crohn's, 20 years ago. Now, you feel like an old friend... a troublesome one."

Yoon Jong-shin first revealed his struggle with Crohn's disease in 2012 on the SBS variety show 'Healing Camp, Aren't You Happy?' He shared that he had to undergo surgery to remove 60cm of his small intestine due to the disease. Yoon explained that he had suffered from unexplained abdominal pain and diarrhea since middle school, only receiving a diagnosis in his late 30s.

Crohn's disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that can affect any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus. It requires lifelong management as there is no definitive cure. Symptoms can worsen due to factors like diet, stress, and seasonal changes, significantly impacting daily life.

Despite his health challenges, Yoon Jong-shin has continued to be active in the music industry and on television, serving as an inspiration to many for his perseverance.

Yoon is married to former national tennis player Jeon Mi-ra, and they have one son and two daughters. He continues to engage with his audience through various music projects and television appearances.
