A heartfelt revelation from a middle schooler, who once showed extreme anger towards his mother, was unveiled.
On the October 20th episode of Channel A's 'My Golden Kids', the ongoing story of a middle school boy struggling to control his anger and exhibiting violent behavior was shared.
During the episode, the boy, referred to as Geumjjok, and his mother found themselves in escalating conflicts with each conversation, intensifying Geumjjok's emotions. Not only did he display aggression towards his mother, but he also showed hostility towards his father, who visited after a long absence.
It was revealed that Geumjjok's mother had previously told his father to take him away when she was angry. MC Hong Hyun-hee expressed sympathy, saying, "If I were Geumjjok, I would resent my mother. Even if unspoken, such feelings likely linger with the child."
Observing the situation, Dr. Oh Eun-young commented, "For Geumjjok, this is a 'second abandonment'. He might feel there's no one in the world he can trust or rely on," adding that he seems to be emotionally isolated.
Geumjjok's inner thoughts were then revealed. He shared that the most hurtful moment was when his mother threatened to send him to his father, expressing a sense of resignation.
Geumjjok further confessed, "I don't know if I've ever felt loved by my mom. When she disappeared, I played well in a soccer match and wanted to show her, but she wasn't there. It felt like abandonment."
In the observational footage, Geumjjok was often seen hovering around his mother, yearning for her affection. His mother, overwhelmed with sympathy, couldn't hold back her tears.
