The stars of 'World of Street Woman Fighter' (WSWF) recently delighted fans with a special event.
On October 19, CJ ENM's music channel Mnet hosted a unique event titled 'MEGA TALK: DEEP DIVE' at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall. This event offered a behind-the-scenes look at the much-talked-about Mega Crew Mission, with around 200 selected attendees joining through prior registration.
Before the Mega Talk event, five crews—AG SQUAD, BUMSUP, MOTIV, OSAKA Ojo Gang, and RHTokyo—engaged with fans at 'MEET & MOVE' in the outdoor space known as The Garden within the I'Park Mall. The event drew a large crowd, with fans eagerly responding to the crews' passionate performances, underscoring the popularity of 'WSWF'.
Hosted by MCs Park Seul-gi and Harimu, the Mega Talk event featured discussions with the five crews about the Mega Crew Mission videos. The videos have been generating significant buzz, quickly climbing the trending video charts and amassing high view counts.
During the event, each crew's Mega Crew Mission video was screened, followed by discussions about the stories behind the missions. The event offered an immersive experience of the mission's grand scale, enriched by behind-the-scenes talks from each crew. The large screen presentations elicited cheers and awe from the audience.
AG SQUAD's Kaea and Kyra shared, "When we first received the mission, we wanted to showcase Australia's indigenous culture. We also aimed to transform into various Australian wildlife like crocodiles and snakes to demonstrate our versatility in expressing different genres." MOTIV's Mali and Bella expressed, "Representing America was daunting, but we wanted to highlight hip-hop's diverse elements and America's unity in diversity." Mali was visibly moved to tears after watching the video.
BUMSUP's Honey J and Lip J shared their insights, "As veterans of 'Street Woman Fighter', we anticipated the Mega Crew Mission and had been brainstorming themes with our members for a while. Given the impressive Korean elements in One Million's work in Season 2, we wanted to avoid similar themes." They showcased the 'gat' prop used in their performance, explaining the meticulous effort involved in its creation.
The stories from the two Japanese crews added intrigue. OSAKA Ojo Gang's Ibuki and Ru mentioned, "While we've been known for our 'gang' image, this time we focused on elegance befitting 'Ojo' (lady)." Regarding the glow stick scene, they added, "It conveyed each crew's color and a message of victory." RHTokyo's Riehata and Mona humorously encouraged viewers to watch their videos frequently, even jokingly suggesting watching them before bed or during bathroom breaks.
'WSWF', a dance competition featuring national teams, airs every Tuesday at 10 PM (KST).
