BTS member SUGA has effectively completed his mandatory social service.
According to the music industry on the 20th, SUGA finished his duties as a social service agent on the 18th. After his final day of service, he utilized his remaining leave, which is considered a normal use of annual leave. Although his official discharge date is the 21st, his service is effectively concluded.
SUGA was assigned to social service duty in 2022 due to a shoulder injury from a past traffic accident. He began his service in September 2023 and served for 21 months.
There will be no official event on SUGA's discharge day. Big Hit Music, his agency, stated, "To prevent any safety accidents due to congestion, we earnestly ask fans to refrain from visiting the site. We kindly request that you send your warm welcome and encouragement to SUGA in your hearts."
SUGA attended the finale of J-Hope's solo concert 'Hope on the Stage' at Goyang Sports Complex on the 13th. Wearing a beanie and mask, he watched the performance with his fellow members.
With this, BTS concludes their 'military hiatus.' The eldest member, Jin, was discharged in June last year, and J-Hope completed his military duty in October. RM and V returned to their fans on the 10th, followed by Jimin and Jungkook on the 11th.
