Red Velvet's Wendy has been voted as the number one female singer people want to share a summer meal with.
From July 12 to 18, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female singer would you like to share a summer meal with?' Wendy emerged as the top choice. On the KBS 2TV music variety show 'Bangpan Music: Anywhere,' which first aired on July 31, Wendy performed her first busking stage at a traditional market and street stall. She expressed her excitement, saying, "It feels like I've achieved a bucket list item by busking at a market I love." Celebrating her 11th debut anniversary this year, Wendy recently left SM Entertainment and signed an exclusive contract with the new agency Ascend, marking a fresh start.
In second place was Girls' Generation's Yoona. The film 'The Devil Came,' starring Yoona, is set to premiere in August. On July 13, CJ ENM released the film's poster and trailer. The movie is a comedic fantasy about a young unemployed man, Gil-gu (played by Ahn Bo-hyun), who is tasked with monitoring Seon-ji (played by Im Yoona), a woman who transforms into a devil every dawn. Additionally, Yoona is set to appear in the tvN drama 'The Tyrant's Chef,' a fantasy survival romance about a French chef who time-slips and encounters a gourmet tyrant king.
Girls' Generation's Yuri secured the third spot. Yuri has been sharing glimpses of her life on social media, traveling between Jeju Island and Seoul. She recently participated in an event hosted by the Jeju Tourism Organization, promoting the island. As a result, Yuri was appointed as an ambassador for Jeju Special Self-Governing Province. On July 12, Yuri shared on her social media, "Maron came along for the workout," along with updates about her foster dog.
Currently, on the Top Ten TenAsia website, polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to wear couple rain boots with during the upcoming rainy season?' and similar questions for female singers and trot singers.
