On the afternoon of the 19th, a press call for the musical 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight' was held at the Shinhan Card Artium in COEX, Seoul. The event was attended by writer Hwang Jung-eun, lyricist Lee Sang-hoon, and actors including Lee Joon, Yoon So-ho, Kim In-sung, Jang Min-jae, Solbin, Oh Yoo-min, and Na Hyun-young, who discussed various aspects of the production.
The musical 'Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight' is based on a popular Japanese novel. It tells the tender and poignant love story of Hino Maori, a girl suffering from anterograde amnesia, which resets her memory every time she sleeps, and Kamiya Toru, an ordinary high school student living a mundane life.
The role of the male protagonist, Kamiya Toru, is shared by actors Lee Joon, Yoon So-ho, and Kim In-sung. Notably, this marks Lee Joon's first foray into the world of musicals.
Regarding his decision to join the production, Lee Joon candidly stated, "As a comprehensive artist, there hasn't been a field I haven't tried since my debut, but this time I wanted to feel young."
He further explained, "My twenties passed in the blink of an eye, and I realized that the age at which I can wear a school uniform is limited. I found that aspect appealing."
He added, "When a script comes in, I tend to decide on the same day and think about the consequences later. I make decisions with the mindset of 'tomorrow's me will handle tomorrow's issues,' and I always gain something from it. Although this is my first attempt, I tried to remain calm as if it wasn't my first time, and I followed the director's guidance without asserting my own opinions."
Lee Joon concluded, "I don't know what my next challenge will be, but I approached this with great trust and seriousness."
