Multiple entertainment industry insiders revealed to TenAsia that Ju Haknyeon met Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo in late May, where they spent the night together. During this encounter, Ju Haknyeon reportedly paid Asuka Kirara, constituting solicitation. Additionally, a producer from the agency One Hundred was also reportedly sidelined due to a related issue.
The agency, while investigating Ju Haknyeon's personal life controversies, discovered evidence of his involvement in the solicitation. Initially denying the allegations, Ju Haknyeon eventually admitted to the act when presented with concrete evidence. The agency had previously cited "personal issues" as the reason for his departure from the group.
According to South Korea's 'Act on the Punishment of Acts of Arranging Sexual Traffic,' individuals involved in solicitation can face up to one year in prison or a fine of up to 3 million won. South Korean nationals are subject to domestic laws even if the act occurs overseas.
Upon learning of the incident, One Hundred decided to terminate Ju Haknyeon's contract and remove him from THE BOYZ. The agency stated, "We view this matter seriously and find it difficult to trust Ju Haknyeon any longer. After thorough discussions with the other members of THE BOYZ, we have finalized his departure from the group and the termination of his contract."
The agency further assured, "One Hundred is committed to supporting the remaining members of THE BOYZ to continue their activities healthily and without disruption. We sincerely apologize to the fans for any distress caused and promise to strive for better news in the future."
