Actor Jung Il-woo Takes Lead Role in 'Glorious Days' Amid Health Challenges


Actor Jung Il-woo, who has been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm, is set to star in the lead role of the upcoming KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Glorious Days'.

Directed by Kim Hyung-seok and written by So Hyun-kyung, 'Glorious Days' is produced by Studio Coming Soon. The drama explores the concept that everyone experiences 'glorious days' at some point in their lives, whether in the present, past, or future. It is a family melodrama that resonates across generations.

Jung Il-woo will portray Lee Ji-hyuk, a character who is recognized for his talents in both work and love. Lee Ji-hyuk is a proactive and cool-headed individual with a sense of humor. Despite his seemingly glamorous life, he has faced life's hardships and overcomes challenges to discover the true meaning of life.

Since his debut in 2006, Jung Il-woo has showcased a wide range of acting skills in various projects, earning the love of audiences. He has appeared in dramas such as 'Good Job', 'Bossam: Steal the Fate', 'Moon Embracing the Sun', 'Haechi', 'Cinderella and the Four Knights', and 'Golden Rainbow'. His impressive performances in each role have heightened anticipation for his character and acting in 'Glorious Days'.

In addition to his acting career, Jung Il-woo recently completed a solo fan meeting in Japan and continues to engage in philanthropic activities as an ambassador for the Korean Red Cross. He is also set to appear in the Korean-Vietnamese co-production film 'Going to Throw Away Mom'.

Meanwhile, 'Glorious Days' is scheduled to premiere in August, following the conclusion of 'Please Take Care of the Eagle Brothers!'.
