Singer Ryu Phillip shared his first impression of his wife, Mina, who is 17 years older than him.
On the October 14th episode of KBS2TV's 'Immortal Songs', the show featured a special titled 'Trust Your Older Sister', where couples with significant age differences appeared.
During the broadcast, the couple, who have a 17-year age gap, reminisced about their first meeting. Ryu Phillip confessed that he was the first to express his feelings, saying, "When I first saw her, I thought she was an elf," revealing he was captivated by her beauty.
Ryu Phillip, who met Mina three months before his military enlistment, shared, "We met at a gathering, and I wanted to have a drink with her. It took me five hours to find the right opportunity. I didn't know her age," adding, "If I had known there was a 17-year age difference, I wouldn't have pursued her."
He further explained, "There are many who think I married her for her wealth and fame, but that's not true. Just by looking at her, you wouldn't feel the 17-year age difference," clarifying, "I met her without knowing, and that's how our relationship began."
Ryu Phillip and Mina overcame their 17-year age gap and got married in 2018.
