BTS is hosting the '2025 BTS FESTA' on June 13-14 at KINTEX Exhibition Center in Goyang, South Korea, marking their 12th debut anniversary. This annual event, held on June 13th, BTS's debut date, attracts ARMYs from across the globe to Korea. Big Hit Music has prepared a variety of activities for fans to enjoy.
ARMYs were visible from afar as they made their way to the event venue in Ilsan. Buses heading to Ilsan were packed, with fans lining up to board. The queues were so long that passersby inquired about the event. Buses departing from Gongdeok were already full by the time they reached Sinchon, skipping subsequent stops. Most passengers were international fans.
The line for the 'ARMY Zone' at KINTEX stretched from Hall 9 to Gate 3. Despite the summer heat, fans remained cheerful, adorned with purple items, chatting excitedly with fellow fans. Nearby restaurants were bustling with international visitors. A local restaurant owner expressed surprise at the influx of foreign patrons.
Fernanda, 22, from Peru, came to Korea for her love of BTS. Currently an exchange student in Pohang, she discovered BTS through her sister, who is also studying in Korea. Fernanda was captivated by BTS's performances, noting their synchronized choreography. She expressed her wish to attend a BTS concert in Peru with her family.
Aileen, 54, from the Philippines, traveled from Manila with her ARMY friends for the event. She visited various BTS-related sites in Korea. Aileen praised BTS for their looks, music, and performances, stating that their music brings her joy.
A 9-year-old fan from Texas attended with her family, dressed in BTS-themed attire. She became a fan after a cousin's birthday party and shares her fandom with her mother. Her favorite member is Jin, known for his humor. She eagerly anticipates new concerts and albums.
Long-time fans also attended the FESTA. Choi, 21, from Gwangyang, has been a fan since 2016. She appreciates BTS's consistent group activities and looks forward to their complete group performances after a three-year hiatus.
With BTS's military service nearing completion, anticipation for their full-group activities is rising. Following Jin and J-Hope's discharge last year, RM and V completed their service on June 10, and Jimin and Jungkook were discharged on June 11. Suga is set to complete his alternative service on June 21.
