QWER Band's New Album Marks a Bold Shift from Love Songs to Personal Growth Narratives

The band QWER has taken a bold step in their musical journey, moving beyond the theme of 'love' to candidly sing about their personal growth narratives with their latest comeback.

On November 9th, QWER released their third mini-album, 'In a million noises, I'll be your harmony' The title track 'Dear' achieved significant success, reaching 30th on the Melon TOP100 chart by 8 AM on November 10th. The song debuted at 80th place on the chart at 7 PM on the day of its release and climbed to 73rd by 11 PM. It's rare for a newly released song to enter the Melon TOP100 chart on the same day.

Compared to their previous works, this achievement is their best yet. Their song 'My Name is Malguem,' released in September last year, entered the Melon TOP100 chart at 90th place an hour after its release and peaked at 2nd place, remaining in the top 3 for 388 hours. 'MANITO' entered the chart a week after its release and peaked at 3rd place.

'Dear' conveys a hopeful message of moving forward towards tomorrow despite sadness. The band's main vocalist, Siyeon, leads the central narrative in the music video. Before debuting with QWER, Siyeon was part of the Japanese idol group NMB48 but left due to lackluster results. The trials Siyeon faced resonate with the music video's storyline, drawing empathy from fans. Her powerful high notes and refreshing vocals harmonize with the song, capturing attention.

The track 'In a million noises, I'll be your harmony' signifies QWER's departure from 'love stories' to narrating their growth journey. The album sequentially depicts QWER's past, present, and future. The title track, the first on the album, speaks of overcoming past hardships, the next track finds happiness in everyday life, and the third track follows the pursuit of dreams.

The fourth track, 'OVERDRIVE,' describes soaring with a burning passion. The fifth track expresses the emotional fulfillment of achieving dreams in front of fans, and the final track promises a future with their fans.

While there are many male idol bands and indie bands with large fandoms, the 'top' spot among female bands remains unclaimed. There are no famous female idol bands like DAY6. Anticipation builds around whether QWER can fill that void.
