Mnet's ambitious global debut project, 'Boys 2 Planet,' has revealed its lineup of 160 contestants. The profiles released feature only the contestants' photos, without names or ages. However, fans have already recognized familiar faces such as Kangmin, Dongheon, and Gyehyeon from VERIVERY, Kim Junseo from WEi, Lee Hyeop and Donghyun from DRIPPIN, as well as members from MCND, HuiBe, DKB, Seowon, Yumeki, Chai Jinshin, Christian, and Tang Honghai.
The project aims to create a top-tier K-pop boy group on a world scale. The first mission for star creators, 'Blind Pick,' officially kicked off today (9th) at 10 AM. Additionally, a global showcase for the 'Boys 2 Planet' signal song is set to premiere worldwide on Thursday, the 12th.
'Blind Pick' serves as the initial gateway to discover the potential of the next-generation global idols, showcasing all 160 participants without distinction between K and C Planets. This event runs for only 48 hours, from 10 AM on the 9th (Monday) to 10 AM on June 11th (Wednesday), and is accessible to everyone via the global K-pop content platform 'Mnet Plus.'
The 160 contestants will perform the 'Boys 2 Planet' signal song, 'Hola (HOLA SOLAR),' during a globally broadcasted showcase. This event promises to highlight the intense passion and competitive spirit of the participants, showcasing the true essence of K-pop on a global scale. The 'Global Signal Song Showcase,' where fans can witness the contestants' limitless charm, will be available worldwide on Thursday, the 12th, at 6 PM through official YouTube, TikTok, and 'Mnet Plus' channels.
